Vision
Effective January 1, 2026, Coffee County Schools will offer two vision plan options through VSP. The Coffee County Schools VSP Vision plans provide coverage for eye exams, frames, eyeglass lenses, and contact lenses. The Standard Plan provides a $130 contact lens allowance and a $200 frame allowance, and the Enhanced Plan provides $200 contact lens and frame allowance. Additional copays apply for eyeglass lens options. Please refer to the benefit summary for complete details.
VSP Lightcare is an added benefit with a $200 allowance for ready-made non-prescription sunglasses, or ready-made non-prescription blue light filtering glasses, instead of prescription glasses or contacts.
The Importance of In-Network Utilization
With the VSP vision plans, you may visit any vision provider. However, in order to maximize your vision benefit, it is recommended that you access participating providers. When you visit a participating VSP vision provider, you will have a higher benefit and lower out-of-pocket costs, and you will receive the benefit at the time of service. If you go out-of-network, you will need to pay at the time of service and file a claim for reimbursement, and the benefit is reduced.
